Just weeks after committing to West Virginia, Southern Illinois catcher John Lemm has now flipped from the Mountaineers to Alabama according to Crimson Coverage on X.
West Virginia was ranked right inside the Top 15 coming at No. 13 with the commitment of Lemm on the data sheets per 64Analytics, but with his de-commitment from the Mountaineers they have now fallen to No. 19 in the transfer portal rankings.
There is speculation that Logan Sauve will be returning to West Virginia, but that has not been confirmed at this point. TalkinEers was told on Monday that Lemm would have been used primarily as a designated hitter under Sabins.
Gavin Kelly and Sam White should be expected to get some loads behind the dish, but if Sauve does in fact return, he will be the front-runner behind the dish for the Mountaineers.
